Treatments offered

Rapid shrinkage of the jaw bone occurs early after one or many natural teeth are removed. As a result, shape, form and quality of the jaw bone and gum tissue will be affected. Original natural bone and gum height and thickness must be maintained or rebuild to receive an implant treatment with the most aesthetic, functional and long term result.

We offer a whole gamut of treatments, from immediate placement of implant at the time of tooth removal to implant placement after bone grafting to rebuild the jaw bone to proper form and thickness.

Implant Placement

Dental implant treatment can be started any time after a tooth is removed. However, the longer the delay, the more shrinking of the jaw bone, making treatment more difficult.

Immediate implant placement at the time of tooth extraction allows faster and less extensive surgery. Crowns or bridge work can be installed simultaneously to maintain optimal gum tissue contour and aesthetics.

Teeth-In-One-Day or All-on-4 procedures are examples of immediate full arch treatment.

Bone Grafting

Bone graft is used to rebuild the shrinking alveolar ridge dimension before an implant can be placed. It can also be used to prevent bone loss after tooth extraction.

Bone graft can be collected from your  jaw bone or from a mixture of bone substitutes. Many types of bone substitutes offer the advantage of reducing harvesting large amount of the patients’ own bone.

Gum Grafting

Thickness and strength of the gum tissue is essential for long term duration of dental implants. A thin and mobile gum tissue prevents proper tooth brushing and is prone to gum recession and infection. Gum grafting provides thick and strong gum tissue for better implant protection.

DR. VINH NGUYEN

Dr Vinh Giap Nguyen obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgeon degree at McGill University, Montreal in 1987. In 2014, he was awarded a Masters of Science degree in Implantology from Goëthe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Since 2016, he has been an Accredited Tutor for the Master of Implantology Program at Goëthe University.

He was an invited speaker at the International Scientific Symposium ‘Innovation Jumps in Oral Implantology’  in 2015, Frankfurt am Main, Germany on the subject of Ridge Splitting for Expansion, in 2017 on The Clinical protocol on the Socket shield technique and in 2019 on Periosteal Inhibition: a Novel Concept for Ridge Preservation and Its Application in Immediate Implant Therapy, a clinical procedure which he discovered.

He focuses his practice in Implantology.
